We are Tracy and Laura and have been social work colleagues and friends for over 17 years.  We were both born and raised in Peterborough, Ontario.  We decided to open a private practice together because we wanted to enhance access to specialized support in our community.

By day, we work as social workers at a pregnancy clinic and have a passion for supporting  women.  In this practice, we provide individual counselling and have unique expertise in the areas of  infertility, grief and loss, miscarriage, stillbirth, post-partum mood disorder, general anxiety and depression as well as relationship stress.  In addition, we have experience in supporting young female identifying clients navigating the challenges of adolescence, post secondary and transitions into adulthood.  We know reaching out for support can feel difficult.  We hope to make the experience of counselling as comfortable and safe as possible.  We look forward to hearing from you.

Welcome to CKsocialwork!

Laura Koekkoek, BSW, RSW. with CKsocialwork

A little about me: I graduated from McMaster University where I completed my undergraduate degree majoring in Sociology and Gerontology and went on to complete my Bachelor of Social Work. I am a Registered Social Worker who has been practicing in the Peterborough area for 17 years. My experiences include child welfare, school board school work, children’s grief/loss groups, and women’s health.  I have a particular passion for working with those who are experiencing infertility due to my own lived experience. Adding private practice work to my professional life is both exciting and a true privilege. When I’m not at work you can find me hanging out with my little family and girlfriends.  I enjoy good music, food, company and binge watching my favorite Netflix shows.

To book an appointment with me feel free to book online: https://www.cksocialwork.ca/returning-clients or email me at cksocialwork@gmail.com

Tracy Condon, MSW, RSW. with CKsocialwork

A little about me:  I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology at Trent University. When I finished at Trent, I moved to Toronto to complete my Masters in Social Work at the University of Toronto. I’m a Registered Social Worker who has been practicing for 20 years.  I have experience in child welfare, school board social work and working in women’s health.  I would say one of my particular areas of interest is supporting those grieving a miscarriage or stillbirth, and I have taken specialized training in this area.   I have enjoyed taking on this new role of private practice since we opened in 2018.  When I am not at work, I love pets, exploring the outdoors and being a foodie while travelling or binge-watching tv.  To book with me, send an email to cksocialwork@gmail.com  and I will send you available appointment times.
